In the wake of widespread civil unrest, the Minneapolis Police Department has vowed to center the experiences of Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) by increasing representation in needless traffic stops.
Following an academic year cut short by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Minnesota’s Board of Regents announced a brave return to generating revenue for the fall semester. The plan, which highlights an abbreviated academic calendar, virtual classes, and other significant departures from the standard campus experience, includes full price tuition.
In the wake of the George Floyd protests, there has been a national movement of toppling statues of racist historical figures. Since the Christopher Columbus statue in front of the State Capitol was taken down by Native American activists, the nearby Charles Lindbergh has been noticeably different.
